Welcome to Victoria Moncrieff Psychotherapy

A confidential space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life

Welcome, and thank you for visiting. I am a psychotherapist and counsellor providing both short-term and long-term therapy to adult individuals in person and online.

Therapy

Life can throw us challenges and at times we may find ourselves struggling to cope, feeling out of control and experiencing emotional distress.

Therapy can offer a space to help you understand your feelings and help to process your thoughts and experiences in a safe, supportive, confidential and non-judgmental space, where you are not alone. Together, we can help address painful feelings, a lack of fulfilment or feelings of stuckness that you may be experiencing. Often our previous ways of being and behaviours that have been useful in the past, no longer serve us in our current lives. By exploring your thoughts about yourself, and your way of relating to others and the world around you, we can often see new perspectives and gain a deeper understanding of ourselves. Therapy can increase our awareness and offer a sense of freedom, acceptance and clarity to find new choices and lead to a more fulfilling life.

The first step in seeking therapy or counselling can be scary, and I can offer a supportive space to explore whatever feelings come up for you, at your own pace. My aim is offer a relaxed space, separate from your daily life, where you can truly be yourself without any judgement or demands on you. Together, we can take the first steps in making changes in your life and allow you to gain more control.

About Me

As an integrative therapist, I draw on a number of different theories and approaches to support you in our work together, and find the tools that work best for you. I believe the therapeutic relationship is truly co-created and ever-evolving; each client will have different requirements, and throughout our relationship it is important we work collaboratively to meet your current needs, which will inevitably evolve throughout our work together.

My style of working is generally humanistic, relational and client-led; I find it useful to consider your previous relationships, especially family dynamics if this feels relevant, as it often allows us to make connections between past and present. My main aim is to offer a warm and relaxed environment to explore your deeper thoughts and feelings in order to live a more fulfilling life.
